To book rooms directly just click on the above "book resort" button. If you are booking flight+hotel packages on travel sites such as Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and AA.com then remember to enter the airport code SKB instead of NEV as the easiest gateway to Nevis is currently through the airport in St Kitts (SKB). Email reservations@oualiebeach.com call the Resort (869) 469 9735 to arrange to be met at the St Kitts airport and transferred to Nevis either on the new car ferry or by water taxi right to the Resort. On 15th Dec 2010, American Eagle resumed flying from San Juan direct to Nevis so that is another option that is available up to 15th April 2011 when they will cease the flight until the following Winter.

YOUR HOSTS
The owners are the Yearwoods, a large West Indian family with roots that trace 350 years back England. Managing Director John Yearwood met his American wife Karen in West Africa and they have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and Africa. These travels have helped them create the perfect Nevis beach resort with excellent local cuisine, a casual relaxed ambience and infused with the warm, friendly welcome of genuine Caribbean people. You will be greeted by Faith Bertie, the local General Manager, or her reception staff, Stacy, Nakida, Joan, or Laverne. In the restaurant you will meet Marcella, Michelle, Keona, Eilma, Tasha and Steve, all determined to make you feel at home.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Oualie Beach Resort is still the only tourism product on St Kitts and Nevis ever to be green globe certified. We received this certification in 2003. While we appreciate the green globe concept, we have elected NOT to continue the annual green globe certification as they require an annual payment of US$1450 to their organisation in order to keep certification current. I predict that most of the smaller eco-friendly resorts such as ourselves will opt out of these expensive international programmes that will become financially accessible only to the big international hotel chains . Oualie Beach Resort would prefer to use those annual funds for better purposes such as to support local education , turtle conservatiopn efforts or to buy a chipper to help us compost our garden waste!
Oualie Beach Resort is deeply committed to sustainable tourism practices. These range from electricity and water saving techniques to community development. John Yearwood is on the Board of the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society.
